While SEDS is predominantly a university level student organization, CGUHS has applied for and received a Charter as a high school. We are honored to have been selected for membership in SEDS-USA.
"Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit that empowers young people to participate and make an impact in space exploration. "For me, it is not a question of should we send humans into space. Of course we should.
Should we develop a space-based economy? Yes, of course we should.
There is no question that the benefits to our world and our society greatly outweigh the costs.
At this point in history, it should not be a question of developing industry in low Earth orbit or going back to the moon to
stay or developing a Lunar Gateway Station or colonizing Mars and the rest of the Solar System.
We should be doing all of these things - and more.
If we want to solve our problems here on Earth, then this is how we do it."
- John Morris, Faculty Advisor/Mentor
